Sri Lanka's tourism sector is witnessing strong growth, supported by a 12% CAGR in visitor arrivals with the growth in aviation sector supporting it. The country has a footfall of 2 million tourists every year with a target of 2.5 million for 2025. Infrastructure advancements are playing a key role, with expressways reducing travel time by 40% and highway/railway upgrades enhancing regional connectivity.
The broader Sri Lankan logistics market has exhibited robust growth trajectories. The market was valued at USD 7.76 billion, with projections indicating an increase to USD 10.43 billion by 2030. This anticipated growth, at a CAGR of 5.01%, reflects the sector's expanding influence on the national economy.
